This is my latest addition a cross silkie cockerel he has settled in well with the girls,he came free from our local ads paper. One of the girls is moulting so not laying as well but hopefully it will be back to 2 a day soon.
My rhubarb is growing quite well ,its always late in the North East,i love to make jam and crumbles, but this year i am hoping to find news ways with the rhubarb so any recipes would be welcome.
On mothers day i recieved flowers cards and this recipe book,we usually go out but my mum has had a bad fall and cracked her ribs so my time has been taken up looking after her, today she came for a visit but i had to take her home after lunchtime i think it was maybe just a little to early for her to be out and about.
And of course on Sunday it was my happy day bargain hunting, and look at these goodies, the baskets were £2.00 and the picture 50p, i had to try and be good but as you will see by the next few pictures i was not.

Ummm I love Rhubarb too! I make a bit of Rhubarb and ginger jam most years - there is only me likes it! Its yummy! The rest tends to go in crumbles and whatnot.
Nice finds - baskets are always so irresistable!
I like that mat too - maybe a trip to Tesco tomorrow!

I dont believe my eyes, you got baskets!!!! No wonder you didnt mention them when we spoke, too ashamed werent you ,bad girl, go sit on the naughty stool lol. I was at Inverurie today asit was our anniversary and we had a scone each and a cake, stuffed now, in fact i took half my cake home, boy were they expensive! They didnt have much nice stuff, so i didnt buy anything at all. Got a couple of bangles in New Look and went to that lovely butcher, really good stuff, got sausages for sandwiches, yummy. Had to help mum, she got a new phone and couldnt work it, 1 1/2 hrs last night then i had to write it all down for her, hope she can manage now....later
Lovely braided rug.. maybe I should cheat, bin mine and buy one of these telling everyone I've made it :-).
Mind you last time I went into Tesco (for two tins of their 10p curry) I spent £30!
Love your baskets, great finds. I passed on a 1940's basket last year at the booty and its haunted me ever since. So I'd say if you like them, buy them!
